style inspiration: dvf’s runway red + blue combo

discovery: i was super bored lately, uninspired, and took to flip through magazines as i do when i’m bored with my workwear (that and hit the mall).

i saw this blue, red and black colour combo in flare magazine – it was from diane von furstenberg’s collection and i thought, “i could do something like that…well, kinda…” ย

how i’m loosely translating this look for the cube:

2012: skirt – jacob, blouse – zara, handbag – aldo/2011: booties – franco sarto

tip: try to look past the high ‘fashion’ of the images in the magazines and see the potential for inspiration for your work-wear.

looking at the colours of the season and how designers mix them is an easy way to get inspired and it often allows you to work with what you got.
